The Bangladesh Haors and Wetland Development Board (BHWDB) has been delegated the mandate to coordinate the activities for integrated development of haors and wetlands in Bangladesh.
The major functions of Bangladesh Haors and Wetland Development Board as per resolution 2000 of BHWDB are as follows:
1. Coordinate the integrated development of haors and wetlands in Bangladesh among the ministries, agencies and local government bodies. Establish a master plan for integrated development of Haors and Wetlands. 2. Formulate projects related to development of Haors and Wetlands and implement the project through local government bodies or other agencies. 3. Examine and coordinate different projects implementing by different ministries and provide proper advice to the implementing agencies. 4. Take any necessary steps to complete the related activities of the Board. |
