Scope of the pilot Project:

1. Online dynamic web application linked with procurement database will be developed and hosted in the web server of Ministry of Water Resources (MoWR) for supporting online procurement management in light of public procurement rule. Activities of this web application will be limited to on line tender submission and reporting. Scope of the project will be limited to:
1. Online submission of PG3 - Standard Tender Document (STD) For Procurement of Goods (National) (for any value above taka 25 lakh)
2. Online submission of PW3 - Standard Tender Document (STD) for Procurement of Works (National) (Medium - Above Taka 1 crore up to taka 60 crore)
2. The pilot project will be implemented in the office of Chief Engineer, Central Zone, BWDB and offices under his jurisdiction within Dhaka metropolitan area.
3. ICT Infrastructure (Database and Web server, Network and High speed Internet connection) for the pilot project will be setup in MoWR.
4. All the information related to tender submission and tender processing will be stored in the Database server of MoWR.
5. Overall online procurement process will be developed and maintained by sophisticated equipments and technology with high security.
6. Project beneficiaries will be the organizations under MoWR, interested bidders and ultimately citizens.
7. For successful completion of this project and sustainable operation and maintenance this project will process to establish ICT cell in Water Resources Ministry and ICT Directorate in BWDB.
